Tac! — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the app Tac! collects, uses and protects your data on all supported platforms (including iOS, Android and future versions).
1. Overview
Tac! is a minimal app for creating one-shot voice reminders. It is designed with privacy in mind: no ads, no tracking, no data sale. The app only collects the data strictly necessary to create and deliver your reminders.

2. Data Collected by Tac!
Tac! may collect and store the following data, exclusively for the functioning of the app:
- Voice recordings that you explicitly record for your reminders.
- Reminder information such as: scheduled time, label or name of the reminder, optional location and selected notification sound.
- Optional location data if you choose to create place-based reminders. Only the point you choose (e.g. “Home”) and a radius are saved. Tac! does not track movements or store location history.
- Optional cloud sync data if you enable backup or synchronization features. In that case, data is stored in your own cloud account associated with your device.
Tac! does not collect advertising identifiers, analytics identifiers, or any data for profiling users.
3. Voice Recordings
Voice messages you record are used exclusively to play your reminders. They are stored locally on your device, and optionally in your personal cloud space if you enable cloud backup/sync.
- Tac! never sends your recordings to external servers for analysis.
- You can delete any reminder (and its audio) at any time from inside the app.
4. Location (Optional)
Tac! can optionally use your device location to trigger reminders when you enter or exit specific areas. This feature is entirely optional.
- The app only stores the location point you choose and a radius.
- Tac! does not store a continuous record of where you go.
- Location data is stored only on your device (and optionally in your cloud backup).
- You may revoke location access at any time from your device’s settings.
5. Cloud Backup and Sync (Optional)
Tac! may offer optional cloud synchronization to keep reminders in sync across your devices. If enabled:
- Your data is stored only in your personal cloud account.
- The developer cannot access your cloud data.
- No reminder content or recordings are shared with third parties.
If you disable cloud sync, all new data will remain local on the device.
6. Analytics and Diagnostics
Tac! does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics. Anonymous diagnostics may be available depending on the settings of your device’s operating system (for example error logs or crash reports). These reports never contain your recordings or texts.
7. Children
Tac! is intended for a general audience and does not specifically target children. Parents or guardians should supervise use by minors.
8. Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Delete reminders and their audio content.
- Disable location or microphone permissions from device settings.
- Disable cloud sync for Tac!.
- Uninstall the app.
- Contact the developer for questions or clarifications.
9. Updates to This Policy
The Privacy Policy may be updated in the future as new features are added. The latest version will always be available on this page.
